Question about James H. Defuria/Intercontinental Airways

Sat Aug 05, 2006 9:08 am

He seems to have have been associated with the history of quite a number of P-51 Mustangs listed in the Warbir Registry. Does anyone have more information on him. I wonder how many Mustangs he purchased.

James DeFuria and Fred Ritts of Syracuse NY bought quite a number of Mustangs from the Crown Assets Disposal Corp in Ottawa in the late 50's and early 60's . Most of these planes were flown to Canastota NY and offered for sale. Most ended up in Elkart IN
Dick Phillips has a good history of them
