Several years ago we took one of our O1s" to Houston for a group to show I beleive a Prince from Thailand how the groups restorations would look. They were talking buying several, restoring them and sending them to Thailand. Seems the Birddog was the Kings favorite airplane. They were talking ten to twenty planes. Guess this is the group you are talking about in Houston.

Back at home, I have a couple of brochures from this group; IIRC the sponsor was a Crown Prince or such, not the King himself (as if it really matters) and they had at least that I remember, a T-28, a Cessna O-2.
My understanding was that they were restoring the aircraft in the U.S.A., and then they would go back to Thailand.
