Warbird sightings

On a buisness trip yesterday, we flew into Avitat at Cleveland's Burke (lakefront) airport. On the ramp there was a sharp, red T-33 named "The Red Knight". Apologies, I did not have my camera along, but it sure was a good-looking bird. The other one on the ramp (also panted red), I am not familiar with. It looked very similar in size & shape to a Scorpion, with the jet exhaust under the rear fuselage, but did not have the wing tip tanks (they might have been removed, the bird looked like someone might be working on it). I only got a few seconds view as we were taxiing past, so that's about all I've got. Anyone have any guesses?

Forgot to add, at what appeared to be a defunct airline a little further east from Avitat, was a C-47/DC-3, that appears to have been there a while. At least it hasn't moved since this Google Earth image:

The red T-33 was probably Chris Rounds Red Knight T-33. He does a nice show with that jet.

Forgot to add, at what appeared to be a defunct airline a little further east from Avitat, was a C-47/DC-3, that appears to have been there a while. At least it hasn't moved since this Google Earth image:

That’s the old Aviation High School. The C-47 was acquired from the GSA around 25 years ago.

The kids pretty much trashed all the aircraft and equipment over the years. When the City finally closed it, there was an auction. I was going to go, but after talking to several people about the condition of what was left I decided it wasn’t worth the time.

Last I heard, the building is now being used a homeless shelter.
