... the e-bay data plate? I've been looking that one up. Can't find anything conclusive, but I can tell you for sure it isn't a Royal Navy plate, as it would have the FAA serial number instead of the Bureau number. Seems the price is pretty high...

PS. Just checked Rob Mears list of corsair crashes, http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.org/wix/data/corsairlosses-outsideUS.xls and see that the aircraft was lost in the South West Pacific on 14 march 1945, while flying from Pityilu with CASU(F)-13.
