I am looking for any info on a steering actuator used on the F-86F nose wheel strut. I do not have the p/n. I could really use an overhaul manual, but an illustrated parts catalog, parts list or even just the part number would help. I am repairing one with a minor leak in the input shaft for a friend and I don't want to disassemble the servo mechanism without knowing what is in there..... I don't like springs and ball bearings falling out unexpectedly when I remove a cover plate. Any help would be appreciated.

Brian,
I might have the info you're looking for. I'll look through my books and see what I can find. Is this for a flyable airplane? I'm always looking for other airworhty F86's.

Yes, a flyer. I run an aerospace hydraulics manufacturing company that has a small repair station associated with it. I help out this owner occasionally by testing and repairing hyd. actuators and valves. Please PM me if you have anything that I can use. Thanks

Brian,
Here's a couple of scans I was able to locate. It is item 15 P/N 4044 manufactured by Haskel.
