A-26 in Ohio to Fly?

Tue Nov 14, 2006 12:27 am

I saw in a magazine that the A-26 in Lancaster, Ohio is going to be flying in 2007. Does anyone know anything about this? Does flying mean "we'll fly it once so we can say that it flies", or does it mean they'll be taking it to air shows? :?

I think this maybe what you're talking about:

Is that the one that Mr. Tallechet owns and was at one time going to the 1941 HAG in Geneseo, NY? If so, that was the plan to have it fly, and if it goes to the HAG in flying condition I would sure expect it to continue to fly.

I now last year the HAG was going to get David T's B-25 and A-26 but it did not happen, someone here hinted that it was still in the works with maybe an A-20 also.

Anyone know the scoop on this all? I sent an inquiry to the HAG but I have not heard anything back yet.

It is owned by Dave Tallichet and HAS is only restoring it for him. So as soon as it gets flying, who knows. The rumor I've heard is that it will fly to Geneseo NY, and then be based their. But as I said, that is only a rumor. I'm sure the HAS guys would love to keep it in Lancaster and do airshows with it.
