From comparison of photographs, I came to the conclusion that the K-14A and the MK21 are similar, while the K-14B exactly matches the MK23 type.

so my assumption is that the MK18, derived from the MK10, had it's AAF counterpart in early and trial versions of the K-14 - will sift through my photos again.

Martin / Swiss Mustangs

Where does the K17 fit into this?

It seems to be a direct copy of the Mk18. My understanding is that it is the turret version of the MK 18, and the K14 is the fighter aircraft version. I acquired a pile of MK18's mixed in with K17's, and assumed they were together where I found them due to their interchangeability.

Hallo Martin,

If I'm correct Al Koenig bailed out early '45 and his a/c had a MK18...

Take care,
