Thursday, he finished rebuilding the engine in his Northwest P-51 Mustang, and decided it was time for a test flight.

I'm curious, is this a misleading bit of information from our friends in the media, or did he rebuild his own engine. No big deal either way, I had just been wondering who the overhaul facility was.

Gary

my question was more along the lines of 'Northwest'?

Just noticed the thread, and I am sad to hear that the airplane was involved in an accident, although knowing that the pilot is OK, is good news.

This is how the Mormon Mustang looked August 03, 2006 when I stopped at Rexburg:

Well, heck...no wonder the thing quit flying...there was this big spinny thing in front of the air intake!

Numerous times around here, we've had the extremely rare B-17 fighter appear, thanks to similar media geniouses (genii?).
