Info Please

Over the past 6 years, the annual NDAA's ("National Defense Authorization Acts") have included at least two attempts to ground/destroy warbirds (the so-called "demilitarization language"), as well as a successful effort to thwart attempts to recover "sunken military craft."

Can anyone tell me which members of Congress have been working for and against these provisions? E.g., I know that Sen. Bingaman (D-NM) helped prevent the demilitarization language from being included a couple of years ago.

Also, have there been other legislation or regulations that could/does effect warbirds. E.g. the FAA's proposed rulemaking regarding warbird rides.

Thanks WIX'ers!

If you want to get involved in this area I suggest you join EAA and its Warbirds of America division which are very active in this area and will have all the info. I personally am not a Warbirds member (just EAA) at present, so I don't have the info to share with you, but I'm sure others here do.
