Will we ever see a B-23 fly again ? B-23 on eBay.

The answer is yes, if you have the $$$$ :)

I used to see this aircraft at airsows all of the time growing up in CA. It would be great to see it flying again. Especially if it was subject to a more in depth resto.

A word from experience, look close at the wing spars on any B-23. Get up in the wheel wells & check the spar carry-thru's. Check the fuel cross feed lines in the belly.

How many B-23's are there as flyers/potential flyers? I might as well add in how many are left in general?

There is more than 5. There is this one, for sale. I think there is one at Castle AFB Museum and I thought I've seen pictures of a OD one in flying condition at one time (CAF?)

No, probably not... You're on your own there. Nobody ever offered to co-sign anything for me so I will gladly return the favor!

It's in the log books. As I remember, Hughes owned it for about 5 years.

I hit the lottery a few planes never flown in a while will be in the air! Don't hold your breath for me though, my ex-wive's will probably take a nice chunk of it. Yes, it is plural, "wives" LOL! See what warbirds can do to you?

I'm not familiar with the prop AD, I'm curious, but is it a pure grounding AD or could it have a ferry permit done assuming when it was gassed up, oiled up & charged up & everything worked, or would that AD have to be done prior to flight, as the seller indicates?

Believe its the same AD for the DC-3.

Ended with no bids. I guess might be a while before we see a B-23 fly again.
