You will find the “Need Help List” below. It is simply a list of locations for which I need assistance to make the data more complete. The “Need Help List” is a subset of the complete listing which is available via the link above and that subset includes the locations with the big red + signs. If you notice you have any info to contribute when viewing the complete list just click the red or blue + and you will be taken to a form where many of the fields will already be filled out but you can also provide corrections and/or new information. You can also post your contributions here if you would like.

Your AH-1 and F-104 and F-86D are right on the money!!!!! I will get you some pics.

The AH1 and F-104 are visible but the F-86D is on base. If your on the road where the VFW AH-1, you can look down into the base and see the F86D. Somewhere someone has pics. I have seen them on here.

There is also a T-33 at a Highschool. Its also been on here before.

The CAF (formally Peeler Aviation) hangar at the DeWitt Spain Airport in Memphis (M01) is the largest hangar on the field. It is just north of the main flight school hangar.

That's my ol' stomping grounds. You should go by and visit sometime. There are some really great folks there.

The marker placement for the F-86 at Lookout Mountain was just an educated guess. Should I bet buying some lottery tickets? Were you also referring to #3651 and #3670?

Got it. I think you are describing the northern most hangar bordering the main ramp.



You guys must be starting to think I am an American with all these Locator postings. It was a long haul for me to get to Legends in Ohio from Ottawa. Tennessee is waaaayyyy off the edge of my map. I will certainly keep it in mind if I get to that corner of the world.

bipe215, my brother recently moved to Johnson City from Palm Springs CA and took over the Hobbytown Store there. Mention my name and it WILL NOT get you a discount . You can talk to him about Bob Pond and the Palm Springs Air museum. He did some work for the Pond family off and on.

At Millington you have the location of the A5 correct. The A4 was the folding wing display and it was there in Jan 98 on a flatbed.

In the Arnold AFB (Manchester/Tullahoma) entry you are missing a couple of aircraft. At the southern base entrance across the entrance driveway from the F-4 there is a an F-16 near the main road, and an F-18 just a little past that on the same side of the street. They don't show up in the satellite image in your locator, as they are fairly new dispays. The F-105, F-14, and F-15 are located at the three spots you have indicated a little further northeast.









Thanks for all of your hard work on the locator. I am using it to plan my roadtrip to South Dakota here in the near future.

The address given is about 3 miles from my front door. Apparently, it is a "museum" in name only run out of someone's house, as this location is a residential area.

I stumbled on some info regarding the 101st Airborne Restaurant in Nashville. It closed in 2006 and an update last month says the C-47 "Tooie" (TC-47B N2312G (16468/33216) on site will be shipped to Indiana. http://www.ruudleeuw.com/deepsouth.htm

I am planning on adding a trip planning feature where you can add sites to a travel plan like adding items to a shopping cart in an on-line store. It would use the route planning services of Google maps. You would also be able to add extra way points to alter a route. Change to the order of stops. Have it calculate for the times of various legs, and provide estimates of time spent on-site. Essential you would be able to plan a day’s drive relatively easily and save the plan for later editing. You would perhaps even then be able to share this plan with others, etc.

Do you have any ideas of features which could be added?





It may be a new museum just forming, or something like that. I think I will leave it listed for now. Someone may come along with more info.

Just a note, these two entries are one in the same. McGhee Tyson is the Knoxville airport but it is located in Alcoa (~approx. 12 miles south of Knoxville). The ANG base where the F-104, F-86, and AH-1 are is across the field (behind the gates not open to the public).
