It would definitely be nice to see your links provided in more or less one post, than providing so many posts, each with a single photo.

WHINGING??? Is that like WHINING and CRINGING???

Mudge the curious :?

HGUCSU, please see my post "sticky situation" ... just wonder what you think about the idea. I'm not bashing you at all, I would just like to hear your feedback. BTW, I have been enjoying your videos and links. But I tend to agree with some others here that there seems to be too many at times. Just some constructive criticism. Nothing personal.

These posts are annoying. Cryptic titles, always linked elsewhere, etc.

Even worse, they run more worthwhile posts off the page.

It is a sad situation when I have to look at who the original poster is/was to determine if a thread is worth opening.

I agree, nothing against the videos, infact I enjoy many of them. The problem is that they do run other "more involved" topics off the page many times.

I saw that Scott made a topic for only posting videos. Perhaps he needs to make a forum category instead. Then, everything posted in that area would be video of aircraft stuff.

Just a thought. :D

I think Scott and the moderators he's chosen are better qualified to make this type of determination about members. It's HIS message board, after all.

From Wikipedia's: List of British words not widely used in the United States
whinge
(informal) complain, whine, especially repeated complaining about minor things (e.g. "Stop whinging" meaning "stop complaining"); a different word from whine, originated in Scottish and Northern English in the 12th century. Hence whinger (derogatory), someone who complains a lot. As in "My wife Kerry is always whinging about the state we leave the house in".

A common Australian term for someone who complains a lot (whinger). Usually coupled with Pom (a Briton) as in 'The whinging Poms have lost the Ashes again.'

Like whining, yes, but no connection to cringing, or indeed to 'wowser'. (Go on, look it up.)

On the thread, what's so hard about putting a NAME of the subject?

Because that would require some foresight and consideration.

Today's crop of new "link threads" consists of links to the same person's photo album. It wouldn't have taken a genius to have posted a single link to the album with an explanation of the contents that were noteworthy, would it? Alternatively a single post with all the links would have sufficed - the links would have been shared without irritating fellow members by shunting worthier content off the front page prematurely.

There are far more interesting things to read on Wix than empty link posts which the poster can't even be bothered to explain the merit of. A fresh half page of HGUCSU threads usually prompts me to click on the "mark all threads as read" button.

Just because you aren't technically breaking the board rules doesn't mean you aren't pi**ing a whole lot of us off. :?

Perhaps you could have the courtesy to put all of your links in one post or at least be a little more descriptive in your often very misleading subject lines.
