It is so easy for those that know him to say nice things about him. I could go on and on about his commitment to the wing. I could compliment him on his flying skills or his always-positive outlook and sunny disposition. It’s not too difficult to find nice things to say about Terry Cedar. But I will add one more. Terry is a very rare thing in this hard cruel world. Terry is a true "gentleman".

Congratulations Hellcat Pilot!

Dan

I'm so glad I got to photograph the Hellcat before they stuck that dreadful decal behind the cockpit.

Here's a suggestion to the CAF to improve the visibility of their corporate branding. How about painting all their aircraft white, with red and blue trim?

I made the same observation/suggestion with a certain B-17, Mike. The "house" paint scheme!

Regardless of the sticker issue, congratulations on the checkride, Col. Cedar! 8)

Sadly, most warbirds today are not totally 100% accurate when it comes to paint and markings anyway. Unless I win the lotto its going to be a losing battle. :x

How many of you noticed the flaps up on final?

If it was a checkride, he probably was required to do a no-flap landing as one of this three landings and take-offs.

On a check ride, one of your landings is more than likely going to be a "flap up" landing.

Great looking airplane, my dad used to fly a few just like that one ... if the pilot is such a great fellow, maybe a few of us here can learn a few lessons from him ...

Dang it.....and I just stripped that very paint scheme you're talking about off the Hellcat wing sitting in my shop. ;-)
