Their P-51 should be home early this week from paint with Paul Redlich at the controls. I hear it really came out nice.

How is it painted?

Is the aircraft in question the former N451D?

I spoke with him when he got back. He was a pretty worn out pup. You worked him good. Thats good Vlado, Keeps him humble.

Pictures of the completed mustang are also posted on the website.

Very cool. One question I've had since I heard about the scheme for the Mustang is if this is an authentic scheme or not.

Maybe a B-17 "Cincinnati Queen" is in the future. ;)

Jim

P.S.: Can't wait to visit the Museum!

The paint scheme is authentic, from the 353rd Fighter Group, 350th Fighter Squadron. However the name "Cincinnati Miss" is not representative of the paint scheme.

as for the B-17... we'll need another building!!

Now that the Mustang is finished full focus will now be devoted to the FG-1D.

Also, for those in and around Cincinnati, check out the Cincinnati Enquirer tomorrow for a few articles about the museum!

How long until the restoration will be complete? What kind of shape is it in?

On the warbirds that you already have done, did you restore all of them or did you buy some of them already restored? Thanks.

The Corsair completion is a long way out... It's a complete airplane with no corrosion, but we shall see. The mustang is the only airplane we've restored. Bought the T-6/TBM/B-25 as they are now.
