Is it just me or does that price seem a little out of focus with the market?

If a foreign country needs a fresh TA-4 , then it's a good price.

If the US State Dept blocks the sale of the NZ Skyhawks to other govts, what chance do they have of selling overseas ?

This was the one that was restored by my friend Maj.
With the J-65 powered ones falling out of the sky one with a J-52 could be worth more.
Who knows what someone is willing to pay?
Rich

Hey Rich,
Just thought it interesting to see a great airplane restoration for sale so fast. Didn't mean to offend you or Maj. No reason to bash the J-65 powered Skyhawks.

David,
Nothing was meant to bash.
Not all J-65s are worthy of bashing anyway. The working plane operation is different than how most are operated and cared for in the warbird circuit. Not saying they are neglecting anything nor operating unsafely. When you are working contracts you gotta fly the mission and work the craft hard on occasion.
The owner of the TA-4 probably have some reason to do what they are doing.

Rich

Hi Rich,
No offense taken. That is one fine looking Skyhawk and I hope it finds a good home to take care of her. With more of them making it to flying status, I think an A4 gathering at some point should be considered.

He still does, it in restoration at this time. The engine has been ground run, and work is in progress at a large location in Missouri.

As far as the Market Price goes....

Where are you going to be able to get another one, and how much would it be costing you.

I think they are the only game in town.

After five years of building it I think it is worth nothing less than 10! There is no other A-4 in existence that is as nice.

Great to hear people chatting about it.
