Cheers,

Gotta have a test flight first, then if all goes well, it's off to VA. I have a lot of good memories of being at air show's with the Hosper's. 8)

I am really looking forward to Chuckie coming east. Fuddy Duddy has been missed at east coast shows. Chuckie will fill that void nicely.

The movie Belle has been based in Geneseo for a number of years now. But agree I miss Fuddy Duddy a lot! :)

Who will have the honors of flying her? It will be grand to see her airborne again. I can imagine how much fun it was traveling with her to shows! Having had the privilege of doing that a number of times in a B-25, I think I can see how much you must have enjoyed it!

Cheers,
Richard

As I recall, it was February, 2008.

To quell the rumours. . .

We don't know when Chuckie will be leaving Fort Worth. No date has been decided upon yet. After she leaves FTW, she will be receiving significant restoration work. I don't know for sure who will be doing that work. She may go to the restorer first before heading to Virginia, or it may be the other way around. I don't believe that's been decided yet, either.

The first few flights will be maintenance check flights to complete the Annual, followed by check flights to get our pilots current. It's possible that other local flights will follow, but I don't have any definite information in that regard.

Don't worry, folks. We will keep you posted! When she flies, we will shoot pictures and possibly video.

Ray Fowler, the Chief Pilot for Liberty Belle, should be in Texas to fly Chuckie. I have known Ray for a very long time, he IS good stick, & will do a good job. 8)

Chickie flew this morning!
This was her first flight in @ 2-1/2 years.

I got to meet Jerry Yagen (nice fellow for sure!! ) Ray Fowler and Pat Mahaffey were the doing the flying with Bill Gorin doing the crew chief duties.
She ran beautifully! No squawks! It was like she had been flying every day.

They were going to fly more this afternoon.

Congrats to Bill, Pat, Steve, Scott and Ellen, Dean, John and all of the hard working crew that made this a successful flight!

Great pictures. I know it's hard to maintain, but that NMF is awesome and looks so much better than silver paint...
