What's the latest on the P-59 at Chino?

I tried the search and didn't have much luck.
I heard a little on Warbird Radio a while back about the P-59 being worked on at Planes of Fame (I think). As I understood from the interview, it sounded like it wouldn't be long till it flew.
Anybody know any more than that?

I have several magazines from 2006 and 2007 that said that the POF P-59 would be flying in about a year after publication.

Like so many things, it comes down to money. We are very close to completion. However, the finishing touches and test flights require additional funds. For now, our wonderful volunteers are finishing up what they can before a final 'checkup' at Fighter Rebuilders. Then, we just need 25K or more to pay for the fuel required for the test flights. Donations can be made to Planes of Fame!

The group building the DWC replica in Seattle/Renton has missed several key dates for the same reasons and also from being evicted from Plant 2 when it went under the wreckers ball.

From reading about this aircraft when it was under development they hung a fake propeller on the nose of the aircraft to make it look like it was a conventional piston engine. Would the big plywood prop on the back wall be the answer?

Yet another one of my rookie type questions: What about corporate sponsorship from, maybe the engine manufacturer? That would be a pretty good advertisement.....the first and STILL flying!
