Needs a lot of work. Chelsea Michigan, up the road about 45 minutes, maybe I'll go look at it :drink3:

I can't seem to get anything to pull up on this link. What are you looking under to find the listing?

It did the same thing to me and finally after trying half the day the window opened up and there it was. Pretty crunched up front but nothing that can't be repaired. :drink3:

Sad to see her the way she is now.

A couple I took when she was in Battle Creek in Sept. of 09. She's certainly in sad shape now, but fortunately the pilot wasn't seriously hurt.

They must not want to sell it too badly...every time I go to the page, they say it's being worked on.

You'd think a professional outfit could get their internet site fixed.

I had the same problem.

follow the link from the first post by SNJ-5, this should open another tab in your browser, click the check box and agree, then close that tab. Go back the 1st post by SNJ-5 without closing any other tabs, and reclick on the link.

When I did this the info and photos loaded.

Looks like they have a glitch in their webpage.

Thanks..got the link to work. Is there a chance this aircraft could be restored, or is it more likely to be parted out?

Probably cheaper to buy something already flying than rebuild it. From the pics, it appears that the steel tubing is essentially trash from the turnover structure forward for sure. The pic from the rear cockpit makes it hard to tell if there is major damage that far back though. Left wing and aileron, everything forward of the front seat and unknown damage to the center section is pretty obvious. You would have to do a detailed inspection to know what all is damaged for sure.

It could be rebuilt, but it would take lots of time and dollars. It will probably end up being parted out.

That's kinda what I figured. I'm sure if she were a rare combat type (or a P-51) there would be plenty of folks willing to spend the bucks to rebuild her..there have been far worse basket cases that have been put back in the air. But I'm sure unfortunately for a T-6/SNJ it's just not cost effective. Hopefully at least some of her bits will return to the air as parts of other aircraft.

I can't figure it out from the website, but has bidding already ended for this T6 or has it yet to start?

This is the aircraft of a friend. So sad to see her this way. He is still recovering.

Just got it to work. Looks like bidding is still active. Here is some information from the website: contact person JIm Mynning 734-475-2727, adjustor Tim Westbrook 630-369-1076, FAA N# N217RK.
Hope this helps anyone that is interested :drink3:
