Its just about time for my annual question about what restorations will be finished in the upcoming year. Will wee see one of the Twin Mustangs finished? How about the Lake Michigan birds at the NMNA? I would like to hear what everyone thinks.

Tigercat at at Fighter Rebuilders? Hinton/Maloney/Eldridge Bearcat?

Dottie Mae P-47?

Another Hawk from Matt Nightingale's shop?

A-20 at Aero Trader?

Hellcat at Yanks?

POF HA-1112?

All guesses on my part!

Here in NZ we should see the ex-AFC Spitfire XIV NH799 fly, hopefully before Easter. Not sure what else is in the works but I expect some surprises.

What about the (X?)P-82 Tom Reilly's working on?
More FW-190s? How about one of the Ds at long last?
Jerry Yagen's Bf109-from-a-Buchon at Meier Motors?

Who knows what will emerge out of Russia in the next 13 months....the FHC Stuka?

Messerschmitt Bf / Me 109 G-(2?) ex HA 1112 M 1 L (N 109 FF) converted to DB 605, Fighter Factory / MAM,
restoration at MeierMotors Germany,
doubt the Fiat G-55 nor the (original) Bf 109 G will be finished in 2013, maybe the Fiat in 2014?

It might be possible the FW 190 D-9 N (w. Allison) will be converted to Jumo 213 fitted in between, maybe prior to the Fiat, but that´s just speculation on my part. Everything for FF.

Sea Fury D-CACE for MeierMotors / MaxAlpha (staying in Germany).
Maybe EKW 3603 (Swiss type) though I doubt 2013, 2014 might be more probable.

First flight after repair due to belly landing of Spitfire T.9 MJ772 might be in 2012 or early in 2013, last tests being conducted.

Michael

We hope to see our Avenger in the air in 2013, but it would be late in the season at the earliest. As with any restoration, a date is sometimes hard to hit.

Anyone stuck their nose in John Pauls or John Lanes shops lately, John L. is always putting out another, more beautiful than the last one, CORSAIR.

How about Planes of Fame's P-59 or their O-47?

I'd say it's about time for Chris Kirchner's P-40N to be buttoned up and go flying:

Hoping Bob Jens' Mossie at Victoria Air Repair will cheat gravity in 2013 also:

With the various posts already made, much of the aircraft on my radar have already been accounted for. I would add however:

P-40K at Warhawks Inc./Fagen Fighters coming to completion (painted as Lt. Col. John "Jack" Chennault's mount)

(Also, depending on how much work is done to it, and when the work is completed, the B-25 "Sunday Punch" might be considered, which has been at Aero Trader, coming back on-line after sitting for a while - going to Fagen Fighters when ready).

P-51A (and perhaps one of the P-51D projects) at Tri-State Aviation?

Spitfire RW382 at Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar Ltd.

Conrad Huffstutler's Wildcat (86774)?

How about the Bf 109E-3 being restored to airworthy in England, to go to the Air Fighter Academy in Germany when ready (last I heard it sounded like it was very close to completion).

Would love to see Kermit Weeks' Boeing 100 completed in the coming year at Roy Rehm's shop (to be followed by the 7-other Boeing 100, P-12, and F4B aircraft that are being produced at Roy's shop).

Aeronca O-58A 42-7796, should be flying by August, 2013. Will be the only airworthy example of the twenty that were built.

The Avenger that Jack Kosko's crew has been restoring will likely be making its first post-restoration flight in January 2013. Depending on how fast the plane goes back together and if the weather cooperates, they may get it into the air juist before 2012 closes out, but it's a fairly safe bet that it will be flying in 2013.
