Scary part is she isn't trying, she's just a natural.

Aren't you two cute? Thank you so much for the ego boost, that's way too nice!

I am flattered. Truly.

It's a 1985 Yamaha Maxim-X 700. It's in gorgeous shape and I can't wait to ride it, it's killing me. Not too bad for a first bike!

Picked out a super hot jacket that I am in love with today. I am going to have the BEST TIME EVER!

My other interests include playing guitar in blues rock bands, collecting guitars, going to concerts, and working on my modified '80 Camaro Berlinetta sleeper car. My Berlinetta is now powered by a modified L82 350 Vette motor with 11.5 to 1 compression, GM power pack heads, Hooker Headers, 510 inch lift Isky full racing cam, 3.73 gears in the rear. It can do 0-60 mph in only 4.2 seconds while going up a steep hill! My musical influences are Eric Clapton when he was with Cream, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendricks, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Randy Rhodes, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, BB King, Albert King, Angus Young, George Lynch, Kirk Hammet, Slash, Lenny Kravets, etc. Been playing guitar ever since I was 6 years old and took over 20 years of guitar lessons. One of the first rock concerts I ever went to when I was twelve was up in Cleveland in January 1975 where I got to see Led Zeppelin play live. Best concert I ever went to. They all sounded great that night! Was a little dissapointed they did not play Dazed and Confused though. Apparently the Mayor of Cleveland at that time had them change their set so it would include the Wanton Song instead. I have also seen BB King, Charlie Daniels, The Allman Brothers, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Bobby Bland and many others play live.

In all of my spare time I bike to stay only semi-portly. To keep my sanity I fly RC planes and helis.

Also picked up RC cars as the boys want to learn how to fly and I think learning right from left in RC is better done on the ground.

And of course I chase vintage aircraft at airshows and museums.

AND, I spend way too much time here :D

That looks like Standing Bear lake R/C field, what is it the Omaha Eagles?

I flew over at Buds in CB. Lived in Omaha 1990-2003....miss it.

Besides U.S. warplanes the other things that take up some of my time are exploring historic sites and trails, model trains and railroad photography. Usually my wife is with me on many of the outings.

Paul,

Sure is Standing Bear. I live 1.75 miles due West. Moving in six months to 2.75 miles due West.

The club running the field is the Omahawks and the field is Hawk Field. Check us out at omahawks.org We have a 400 ft asphalt runway as well as regular float fly ins off the lake.

Paul, (or any Wixers who are AMA members) if you happen to come through Omaha with planes let me know. If it isn't too windy (odd in NE) and I am able to sneak away I would be most happy to host you as guest flyer.

Bud closed his store last year when he lost his building lease. His field is still open but I hear rumors the landowner is getting some really good offers for the land. If they loose the field it will be too bad as it is really nice.

Eric

That looks like a Sig 4 Star 40 that you are carrying in your picture.

My hobbies also include RC Aircraft. I love to build as much as fly, that's why I spent 2 years building the Thunderbolt I that you see below.

I also ride a Harley Road King Classic every day and have put 61,000+ miles on it in the last 4 years.

Years ago I used to restore classic Mustangs and would love to have another one. My favorites were my 69 Mach I with a 351W 4bbl. It was black with the red Mach I stripe and red interior. The other was my 69 Mach I with a 428SCJ, and the best was my 70 Boss 302.

Connery,

Yes that is the third 4* 40 I have owned. Two met with untimely an painful ends. The first pic is a 4*60 that I cut the top of the fuse off of and built a "fun scale" fuse cap that looks like a Thrush crop duster. I also built a smoke system out of a windshield washer pump, spare battery and some micro switches. Works every bit as good as my Skywriter pump. I had to move up to a Saito 91 as my OS couldn't haul it straight up to do stall turns while "dusting" the strip any more.

Here is a better pic before I pulled the old tired OS.

Your Jug looks awesome.

We are building a new house this year and I am getting a 18X18 corner in the basement for a shop. I am thinking of building a Skyshark typhoon/tempest or TBM/TBF as my first scale bird.

Eric

Here's my other passion...restoring old turn of the century houses back to their former glory as "Painted Ladies". A very expensive, time consuming, and frustrating hobby...but well worth the investment! 8)
