A couple more scruffy shots from my uncle's album taken at 83 Group Support Unit at Dunsfold, UK.

I think the shot of the Anson with stripes is quite rare.

I have thrown the P-47 in for comment.

Yep, ETO and MTO, besides the PTO and the CBI. I think the other day I saw a pic of one in Alaska, but I am not sure if the were operational or if it was just passing through. As for the ETO, IIRC they didn't go fully operational until after D-day.
