FHC's P-47D 'ennessee Waltz' and Historic Flights F7F-3 'BAD KITTY' very tight and very low out of KPAE (500 or so feet) practicing for Radial Engine Fly Day Saturday, if you're in the area, should be lots of R-2800's in the air around Noon tomorrow.
And next weekend is Vintage Fying Weekend @ KPAE

Just got buzzed by Liberty Belle. Amazing to see her now and think about seeing her after the 1979 tornado! I was just a kid back then, but remember seeing her at Bradley for years afterward looking worse for wear! Nothing like a B-17 buzzing in the morning!

In preperation for tomorrow's airshow at Waukegan Airport, 6 T-6's, an A-4 and a screaming F-18.

Hey Rick,
We have temporary custody of 2 F-18's. Don't think we can afford to operate them very long though. :D

Just heard and then saw the Mustang's Lady Jo and Speedball Alice climbing out and heading north towards, Reno maybe? It's that time.

A nice looking Stearman came and landed at Cannon Field (53T) today. I guess maybe they got the word that it's a public use airport now. It was too bad that I couldn't stop and talk with them, but I was about to takeoff in the Cub for Boerne Stage, so I enjoyed watching them fly a bit, then headed out.

Yesterday evening, WB-57 on a 5 1/2 hr mission making circles over Houston at 48-49,000 ft. Caused quite a stir among the great unwashed ! One guy sent a picture in to the local NBC affiliate of the KC-135 Vomit Comet flying low ! No kidding, it's been on a pole at EFD for about 10 years !

This buzzed me, so I chased him to a small grass strip and snapped a couple of pics.
