This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Fantastic work! It's wonderful to see such a beautiful facility in Europe bringing Allied and Axis aircraft back to the sky! Judging from the canopy I assume the Mustang will be a TF? Has a paint scheme been chosen yet?

Great pics as usual Matthias. Those are very fine projects. I am glad several of them will stay in Germany. If someone would have told me 10 years ago that there will be so many airworthy warbirds in Germany, several Mustangs, Spitfires, a Buchon and a FW 190 - I never ever would have believed it. There was one Bf 109 (Messerschmitt Foundation), several Tiger Moth´s, some Stampe´s and some Fw 44 Stieglitz, one Fieseler 156 Storch - that was it (at least what I remember regarding warbirds). And now? Wow!! I believe, not a small part of the amount of warbirds in Germany nowadays is the responsibility of MeierMotors. Well done guys, keep going!!

The Spitfire is really starting to look good. It is great to see such young guys working on these old airplanes.

NEW PROJECT at the MeierMotors shop. This time its the restauration of a Hispano Aviacion Buchon to a Messerschmitt Bf109 G. Basis is the WkNr133, last reg N109FF. Owner of the project is Jerry Yagen and his Fighter Factory. I think this will be a fantastic project !

What do you think ? Should I open a new thread concerning the Buchon project, or should i post the updates in this MeierMotors thread ?

This one used to be at the National Museum of the USAF. Not sure why they sold it or if it was on loan from a private individual.
