Saw a Spitfire fly over yesterday around 4:30 or so flying from the east going west. I assume that it was going to the airshow in Peachtree city for this weekend...awesome sound!. Anybody know who it was or where it is based?

Edit...I guess I should read the rest of the posts first. It was from the Fighter Factory, thanks Rauhbatz for posting that info about the Greater Georgia Airshow info.

Well, it was actually yesteday but, I saw Ol' 927 heading west over Fort Worth on it's way to headquarters, I would imagine. Watching a B-24 fly overhead is something you just don't get to enjoy everyday!

(1) The CAF's SNJ-4 from Burnet, Texas, made a stop at VFM on their way home from Midland today. Jim gave us a nice flyby and wave on his departure from 16L. 8)

(2) On the way home from the Hangar, I saw what might have been an A-26 headed eastbound over southern Denton county. It was from a distance and I couldn't get a good look. Cavanaugh's, maybe?

Yesterday afternoon I saw some kind of od painted L-bird coming out of 11R. I couldn't get a real good look at it since I was driving and there were trees and brush along the ROW. It was flying parallel to me so I did at least get a look at the general a/c type. He was flying into the wind so I outran him in my pickup.

Aluminum Overcast! Over and over and over and over... :)

Thanks for the show! EAA's final stop on the B-17 tour this year, and it was beautiful weather for flying and for watching... my twin 2 year olds couldn't get enough of the "big airplane with the little door" (they got to go peek in the crew door on the aft fuselage and thought it was a hoot!)
