North American T-28. B,C,or D model. Hazy, misty afternoon here at Chapel Hill, NC (IGX).
It was in the pattern, saw it lower it's landing gear. Couldn't see any markings. Red cowling,
white fuselage. Wonderful sound.

Saw a lovely C-47 sporting invasion strips droning over Clear Lake this past weekend, wonder who it was?

Been an awful long time since I saw a DC-3/C-47 in the air, didn't used to be so rare. :(

Dunno Pogo, but a new poster said he had met up with a C-47 for rides out of La Porte this weekend. (On a thread I can't find now.)

If you or somebody drives by and confirms the presence of a C-47 at La Porte, please lemme know and I'll shoot over there to see if I can pay it a visit. 8)

Found it! It was C-49J, "Southern Cross, N87745 out of Cleburne, Tx. and she appears to have been giving rides the past couple of weekends as reported by WIX member Carlisle1926 . His website, another artiste..cool stuff, DeSoto Hemi Table, Droptank Sharks, MiG 15 etc.

I saw a P-3 at about 12:15 just southwest of Decatur, Tx, going Northwest.

Saw a pair of C-5s while driving through the Schenectady, NY area today. Would those be based at Westfield?
