Ok, who was the other guy? I watched that and loved it! It was like Indiana Jones with an airplane..

Strangely enough, Disney used the Baloo bear character from "the Jungle Book" and turned him into a Jake Cutter type flying a cartoon Goose in "Talespin".....

However, as far as my favorites?

Capt. Oveur, Roger Murdock, and of course, Ted Striker, from a certain ill-fated flight 209er from Chicago.
Jimmy Stewart's Character in Flight of the Phoenix
Andy Devine in Island in the Sky!

Maj. Conn from Strangelove. No question. Lots of others after but he's the one.

I do love Slim Pickens, especially when he reads the contents of the survival kit!
BTW, not to nit pick, but his character is actually Major 'King' Kong. Easy mistake if you don't see it spelled out and only hear it in the film.

I used to watch Tailspin as a kid. He flew a C-119 on floats! It was called the "Sea Duck"

I could have sworn it was a cartoon Goose....

Looks more like a C-82 than a 119....but still its a cartoon...

This is what I remember seeing:

Good point, Jerry. It's been a long time since I saw Strangelove and I don't hear real good anyway.
Have you ever seen "Fail Safe" and then immediately after, watched "Dr. Strangelove"? aaarrrrgh! head trip! I didn't get alot of the humor in Strangelove until I'd seen Fail Safe.
Too weird.

From the Gilligan's Island episode? It seems he "had a heck of a time getting the airplane out of the museum's basement."
