W[quote="JimH"]The Tour Crew would love to come to Thunder but unfortunately we will be in NJ...we do have several aircraft that could participate...A-36, Skyraider, F4U-5, A-4, 262, T-33, F-100, F4F, and a Goose. My friend Wayne would love to bring P-51 Sarah Jean to the show :)

I thought that the Mossie, 262, and 190 were coming, not as in "could" participate

My bad , I was thinking Yagen, not Collings. (edit)

And the German planes just keep on coming! The modern day Luftwaffe is returning for static display to Thunder Over Michigan on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2015. The German Air Force C-160D Transall transport was a crowd favourite on its first visit to Thunder last year.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

I would like to thank you for visiting our state anyway. I spent the last couple of afternoons drooling over the aircraft in Kalamazoo! :drink3:

The Blue Angels draw Big Time, and it is worth moving the dates to accommodate them. Remember, this show is a fund raiser for the museum. If a show had everything people wanted to see, there would be no reason to hold another. That's what keeps the game interesting, striving for the perfect show. It never happens.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

I understand, Blue Angels will bring a bigger draw. It is the same for every show as I notice that at Sun N Fun also when there were no jet teams in 2013 the airshow attendance was dead, plus that was in the middle of the sequester. I do enjoy the Blue Angels much more than the Thunderbirds as their formations are tighter and the performances are better. I just like it when Thunder is closer to OshKosh as a lot of the Warbirds that attend OshKosh often come to Thunder also, some of the more rare west coast based warbirds.

Based on what has been announced by Michael Luther over the last several months and what was on the Thunder show web site aircraft list from 2 to 3 months back, here is my completely unofficial and not necessarily all inclusive listing of civilian owned warbirds planned. Hopefully the aircraft list on the web site will be updated soon. The not officially announced yet Canadian Lancaster and B-25 are included at the end.

THREE Weeks to the show, with hopefully a few more additions to be announced........ Looking Good!

Planning on going with a co-worker, will buy tickets online when I see the weather report a couple days beforehand.
Have seen the 262 and Mossie last May in Va. Beach, the 190 didn't fly cause it wasn't ready yet. Have been watching the Fighter Factory webcams and it has gone thru landing gear swings on jack stands and I think the prop adjust issues have been solved, The 190 he got rid of was really something flying in 2013. Really want to see Silver Dragon and the Privateer
flying. Just keep the rain away, please!!!

I am receiving several last minute requests from people to be squeezed into the SOLD OUT Friday and Saturday Photographic opportunities. Sorry, the only requests that we can entertain at this point is for Sunday.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

Good to see! We are still waiting for the announcement from Michael on the Lancaster, but that looks good enough to me. Nice group of performers and I have no doubt that some of the other warbirds on the "aircraft list" will be flying also. although they have updated the "Performers" area of the show web site, they have NOT updated the "Aircraft List" yet - I am sure that will be following soon.

And VERY Interesting to see the KC-135 on the Performers List. Haven't heard that a KC-135 was attending the show and this would be quite a bonus if we were actually going to be treated to flybys! Hope this is true.
