I agree with Jack that Gary is doing good stuff, but my vote has to to to Jack Cook and his photo collection. He is sharing history with us, and, in a way, Gary is making some new history.

Thank a veteran when you see one!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Scott

Jack, the people have spoken.

It would be in your best interests to get out there and find Model 299 and restore her, all the while documenting your work.. That's your only shot for this year.

I got an old frying pan that might have a few molecules of her.

My vote is for Gary...the Norm Abrams of WIX!

Geez, losing to Gary isn't really like losing at all. :)

Truly understood...I mean the guy does have an unusual advantage here...that's why I offered teh Path to Victory! (seems like I need a picture of Jack, a shot of 299*, and a way-cool font right about now).

*Or is that a shot of Jack and a picture of 299?

Jack;
Norn Abrams is the guy on "This Old House" on PBS.
The guy can build anything! (unless it's made of aluminum!)

And don't forget his earlier ventures in "New England-ah" public television with the New Yankee Workshop... hell yeah, anyone can build a derned mahogany china cabinet with a crystal beveled gun cabinet include if you had $3.4 million dollars worth of shop tools and clamps like Norm had in his! What about the "Old Yankee Workshop" where things are tacked together to dry with bailing twine and the wood comes from the pine casket you bought at deep discount and dismantled a week earlier... now THAT's Yankee inginuity!

Oh yeah, I vote for nominating Gary...

...and have we told you that the winner MUST wear the WIX shirt in all photos taken from then on out? Easy advertising! :-D

Glad you didn't specify HOW it was to be worn. I have a well developed imagination :P

Hands down, it has to be Gary and his soap opera titled, "The Transformation of Diamond Lil" (hmmm...kind a sounds like a bad porrnn :? )

Gary gets my vote!

For taking the time to share his work, mistakes as well as successes, for us all to share and for no other reward than to 'spread the word'.

Merry Christmas to all.

Alan.

Man, if I end up getting that shirt, I hope it comes in black. If not, I'll end up turning it that way. ;-)

Thanks for all of the nominations y'all. :D
