C'mon guys. Cook & Austin already won MVP for the year. I figured my one chance at "Miss Congeniality" was if I bought the first round.

Couldn't hurt.

Dan,

You buy the first round and I'll nominate you for "best of show"!

Hey! I thought I was Miss Congeniality!

Not a good idea, thier maybe one or two WIX members that would look good in a wet T-shirt, but the remainder... <shudder>

Well, here goes.

Jack: You're right, this post did wander a bit. I wonder what member #1767 Mr. Buddy Macon thinks of it (If indeed he is the real Mr. Buddy Macon)?

beachgirl: I hereby officially surrender my sash and crown, and thus abdicate all claims--past, present, and future--to the title of "Miss Congeniality" to you, my most worthy, most gracious, and most buxom opponent. :prayer:

Scott: Might the position of "village idiot" still need filling? I humbly await your official proclamation.

And just so folks don't complain that this thread isn't about airplanes, I conclude with a picture of a Spitfire chasing a guy who's shooting at Santa.
:santa: :snipe: :spit

Actually I created the account for Mr. Macon since his old one had a problem with it. The email is valid so I have every reason to believe it's him :(

Thanks Scott.

As usual, I'm the one with the lampshade on his head just when the boss arrives at the office party.

But that's ok, as I'd like to think of Mr. Macon as one who appreciates interacting with real people who are passionate about aircraft preservation.

My hope is that all who lurk here discover that this board entertains a variety of folks with differing opinions about how classic aircraft should be preserved. We frequently disagree on how that should be done, but at the end of the day we respect one another for those differences. Thanks to Scott's attentiveness, those who don't display mutual respect don't last long around here.

Now, Scott...about that vacancy for "village idiot"...

OK Scott,
since Dan has proclaimed himself village idiot I feel a new
avatar is in order.
BTW can I have the avatar picking position full-time? I
think I'm pretty good at it!
