Where was that at? She is one the prettiest Hercs I've ever seen. Those pictures were taken in 1996? That's about the time I saw her.

Good old 55-0022 is sitting on Eglin Fld 2, I've worked it with the range guys to go out there this coming week and get some shots of her, if you are still interested. I'm told she is complete and flyable.

The oldest and only flyable ORIGINAL C130A, is the one now owned by Earl Cherry.

Frame 3214 ex RAAF A97-214 not sure what the N number is.

This aircraft still flies with three bladed props, and also now has courtesy of Snow Aviation, wing tip tanks instead of the previous under slung wing tanks.

There are some C130A aircraft flown by IAT, one of which is an ex RC130A which came down the line a few frames after 3214.

Their aircraft look reaaly smart, so they can make the claim of the NEWEST C130A.

All RC130A's were converted to slick C130A's after their photo task was finished.

i flew that acft as a rent-a-pilot when the active duty brought it out of the boneyard for testing in the early 80's. They didn't have "A" qualified folks so they rented reserve guys for MPA mandays. we were testing the new SCNS systems at Holloman and had the three different systems on pallets so they could be tested one after the other. i put about 50 hours on that airframe.. anything for a manday
