Are you taking the behind the scenes tour to see the restoration shops and the Memphis Belle. It is well worth the time.

No, I am a volunteer there, so we may go over to the shops, but not on the tour. There is always something cool going on over there.

Now that they have a little extra room, it's time they move the JU-52 inside.

Actually it is going to another museum. I can't remember who is getting it.

Somehow that doesn't suprise me. I grew up pretty close to the museum and have been there more times than it is possible to count. Even volunterred there for a while. But over the past few years they have done a few things that I have disagreed with. I still love the place, but I'm not 'in love' with it.

Steve, Mustangdriver will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the "other biplane" he refered to as going back to NASM is the Sperry Messenger that was hanging on the ladder/trapeze overhead. I know it is "owned" by NASM and was on loan to NMUSAF.

I hope maybe you could also clear up a mystery for me: the book Veteran and Vintage Aircraft (1973) mentioned that the Museum also had parts of two early Huff-Daland or Keystone biplane bombers which were going to be combined to make a complete airframe... Can you find out any info on them, if indeed the pieces exist?

No problem. I don't know that one off of the top of my head, but I will check for you.
