Hello,
There is also a F-4D, TA-4J, T-33, S2-F, and UH-1E based at Ellington Field in Houston. The Aircraft are owned and operated by The Collings Foundation. I did not see it mentioned on the locator at all.
In the Google Earth map the B-25 is hanging out of the hangar, but it is no longer based there in Houston. The coordinates for the hangars are: 29°36'11.36"N; 95°10'14.42"W

This is something that I do not understand. I posted a report back in January 2007, of my seeing the T-33 (and I posted photos here) of the wings and tip tanks of that very same T-33; this was done with the report of the 3 C-45s at the Atlanta, TX airport.
So, from a confirmed sighting, comes an "apparently??"

Is more than one report necessary to declare an airplane sighting as confirmed?

For the D/FW Wing, I also submitted a "help me" form with the exact GPS coordinates of the hangar and some additional info.

In San Angelo, there is:
A UH-1 in a VN memorial at the entrance to Mathis Field Regional Airport on Knickerbocker Road. (32 27 56N, 100 26 55W)
A T-33 on a pole next to the Central High School AFJROTC building at Caddo St and Park Dr. (31 21 42N, 100 30 32W)
A B-25J on a pole at South Chadbourne St and Kearney Blvd (South Gate entrance to Goodfellow AFB - 31 25 29N, 100 24 32 W). This is the only GAFB acft to have public access. The MiG-23/-29 and other aircraft are on base and require a visitor's pass to see.

Re: Item #61, GAFB aircraft - as stated, only the B-25 is fully accessable to the public. Other aircraft on base that are on display, or used for training are:
RF-4C - on a pole near the North Gate, from now-defunct Bergstrom AFB, Austin
HH-43 Husky - on display at the Fire Academy
2 x C-130 - training aircraft, Fire Academy
F-14D - training aircraft, Fire Academy
CH-53 - ditto

The C-47 at GAFB is actually an EC-47, displayed in front of the base Hq.
There is also an F-86D 52-3770 located at Camp Mabry, Austin

Is this museum open? Since 2001, I have been seven different times in Uvalde, and every single time, regardless of the day of the week, or the time of the day, the building is closed and looking abandoned . . .
Just curious, because if it is open, then it rates another visit.
BTW, in 2001 I found at least 2 T-28s and a T-33 inside a hangar on the South side of the airfield, close to the highway, probably an FBO.

Yes, it is open but only when soeone is there to open it. My wife and I recently were accepted onto the board there. We are hoping to make some changes and increase the collection and get the doors opened more. There is a B-26 owned by the Collins Foundation in side that is "slowly" being restored, a PT-19 being restored and several other old general aviation aircraft. They also have a nice collection of "stuff" from the days that the airport was a primary training base.
There is currently a Mustang, T-28C, Canadair T-33, SIAI Marchetti SM1019 and other cool toys located at the FBO (now on the east side of the field just down from the museum). We are looking at trading the T-33 for a T-6.
My wife manages the FBO, so you can get permission to see the aircraft in the hangar (with escort) and probably get someone over to open up the museum.

#54: Apparently there is a Lago Vista Airpower Museum & Library at the Rusty Allen Airport in Lago Vista with as many as for aircraft. Where exactly is the museum?
I previously gave you the location of the F4, that is the only plane on display. There may be another inside the hanger, I will try to check within the next couple weeks.

Is there a F-84 displayed at Bergstrom (the airport), or just the F-4 (not counting fire training aids). I am going to note the fire aids in the "private" comments, but they won't appear in the Locator. Fire aids are usually unaccessible and often don't exist very long.

Mike: #60 is pretty easy as it's my airplane. It no longer is in Roanoke. I just finished moving the last pieces of equipment and box of parts from the hangar to the house tonight. We are in the process of shop design for our place in Arkansas and will be starting construction this summer we hope...Depends on what the company ends up doing on my disability and potential retirement.
Dad and I have moved equipment, parts tools and everything else under the sun that was in the hangar over the last three weeks. Despite all the stuff that got tossed into the trash and recycle bins, we would still be able to fill 4 tractor trailers plus part of a big flat bed trailer. And to to think it [url][/url][/i]
