I managed to make down for the event at Canada's Aviation Museum yesterday..I arrived alittle late so I was stuck in the traffic jam on the parkway but lucky for me the event was running alittle late..The CWHM Lancaster did a couple of spirted low flybys,,and Potter's Harvard (I assume) was in attendence instead of the Spitfire..unfortuately no Dak or Mitchell but it is quite a haul from Hamilton... A couple of CF-18 did a past..and CFB Petawawa flew three Griffons past..the Challenger did a couple of low pasts also...quite a large number of people in attendence..and the Hurricane was parked outside....

And a different note:

Where is the Labrador stored?

Too bad I missed the event.

I was there last week, and saw it parked on the North-West side in front of the restoration hanger.

Yes, very nice Lanc fly-bys.

I stayed on the other side of the airport, at the flying club, but walked around to the museum after.

Challenger was from 412 Sqn., Griffons from 427 and who knows where those Hornets came from.

It was Potter's Harvard 4, I confirm.

I'll update my webpage today with my pictures of the event.

REALLY glad I went. It was nice to see sooo many people there. I was amazed!! Last time I attended there were a couple of hundred in attendance. And the vets in attendance got a good round of applause. One was wearing his uniform, squadron leader I think. Not sure who he was but he sure looked sharp.

I got some shots of the Lanc which I will scan later today, if they turned out. Still using film, at least until I win the lottery.

Too bad the Spitfire wasn't there. Guess I'll have to wait for next year. One the plus side, I think Mike was pushing the Harvard a little harder than he pushes the Spitfire. I got a couple of shots as he climbed away.

One bonus was seeing the Hurricane out in the light of day. I am really glad they pulled her out, and the Hurri provided a great backdrop for the wreath laying.

Great job to all involved :!: :!: :!:

Charles
