I just posted a bid of $400 for the BoB book in the other thread. If the bidding is above that, I'd consider raising it for this good cause. PM me if needed. Thanks.

Randy

OK troops...Here's my offer for an auction. This is an A2 in Russet Horsehide.
It's from U.S. Authentic. It's the only one like it IN THE WORLD!
KEEP IN MIND...It's a size 50 Tall and it's too big for me. I'm 6'6" and 250lbs.
There are 2 (sewn on) patches on the front that I'm going to take off and put on my new jacket. It has an 8th AF patch on the left shoulder that stays on.

Mudge the large

ps. In case you're wondering...it cost $1200 new

Hope this can help Jack. :wink:

Ok, us B-25 guys have got to stick together.

I am offering a limited edition print for auction.

This one is signed by 5 of Doolittle's Raiders. Some of these gentlemen are no longer with us yet they still are able to teach us the lesson of sacrifice to a greater cause. Let's dig deep and help a friend in need.

I will start the bidding at retail price of $495. PM me if you bid. Bidding will end Sunday April 22, 2007 at noon Pacific time.

CURRENT BID: $500

Hornet's Nest by: John D Shaw signed by artist and signed by these Doolittle Raiders:

* Navigator: Lt. Henry A. Potter, Crew 1
* Flight Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. Joseph W. Manske, Crew 5
* Navigator: Lt. Harry C. McCool, Crew 4
* Navigator: Lt. Charles J. Ozuk Jr., Crew 3
* Navigator/Bombardier: Lt. James H. Macia Jr., Crew 14

Size of picture: 31" x 23"."
Unframed

Once auction has finished I will email Scott the winning bid information. Then you can just pay him directly as to keep me honest. Once he has verified that he got the $ I will ship it out. I'll cover the UPS.

thanks,

Ryan

We have started a "Bring Jack Back" fund, details can be found here http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/p ... hp?t=12493

Proceeds from the auctions in this thread will goto this fund.

Randy Wilson has bid $400.00 for the Band of Brothers book.

If you can pick the book up in Philly, I can get one of the boys to come out to meet you and have lunch .

Jiggersfromphilly - my bid of $400 for the book, money to go to Jack's fund, still stands. I'm afraid I can't get to Philly any time soon due to lots of personal and CAF stuff that keeps me in or near Texas. Any chance you are coming to Midland for our AIRSHO this year or anywhere near Dallas sometime (my original home), as I'd love to meet and have lunch. Failing that, if I end up winning the auction, we'll just have to ship it, I'm afraid.

Please let me know by PM if the auction continues or has more bids, as I think it is a great way to raise money to help Jack, whom I have never met and only know through his posts here, but that's the spirit of this whole band of brothers on WIX, I'd say. I also say "well done" to you for offering your book for auction for a good cause. Also, the same to Scott and others on the WIX staff for supporting the fund drive. Got a busy next few days with General Staff and committee meetings here, plus a museum seminar for which we are one of the hosts for evening events. Fly safe, y'all.

Randy
