Hi,

I have many intrests, my cars are lots of fun I own a 1940 willys sedan with a blown 350 chevy, a 1940 willys pick up, a 1955 chevy 2 door hard top with a 427 and glass flip front end,I just picked up a cool old front engine dragster built in about 1961 or 62 with a blown 392 hemi, all ex drag cars. Im just finnishing a ground up on a 1970 440 Cuda for one of my customers.

I also have a artistic side I've done several a/c in pen and ink a few oil paintings mostly aviation oriented, I did a series of prints for planes of fame east, a nice pen and ink for the CAFs Show Me that has sold many copys. Most of my art work goes to my many friends I'm not big on marketing so most of it I give away.

I have a nice collection of Lionel trains for the son I never had, maybe a grandson some day? It would fill a good size basement. Too many intrests not enough time, old movies, my 1925 mediterranean house, huge collection of flying helmets and flying gear, lots of railroad memorabilia, china, lanterns, steam items ect.

Thanks Mike

Well, lets see!

Cars- Drag Racing is my bag and I work at the local Dragstrip as a tech and track official. I have a 71 Chevelle that is getting rectified and my Datsun 510 that will someday run again. I crew on a couple of drag cars and try to drive one down the track when ever I get the chance! I also dig most motorsports.

Planes - I'm here, ain't I! Love the Warbirds and most heavy military hardware. Worked on aircraft back in my highschool days and hopefully again soon.

Models- Mostly cars, but I have started hacking away at planes again and I just started collecting 1/48 stuff again. I am also the President of the San Diego Model Car Club

Comics, Anime, Photography and Low Brow Art - I can doodle pretty good! I have attended Comic Con here in San Diego since the late 80's and attend as many galleries as I can find when I have the time.

Guns- I can shoot pretty straight, I learned on the Rifle Team in ROTC while in HighSchool. I have a few rifles and a hand gun. Living in CA sucks for us gun owners.

Magazines - Too many of them! Cars, Warbirds, Aviation and Art stuff.

Tequila, Wine and Beer- But not all at once! And stogies after a fine dinner.

Women- Currently somewhat single, but always looking! Hey, I am alive you know!

Well, that should do it for now! Any questions?

My main interest other that my kids is warbirds but photography runs a close second. I dabble as a semi-pro shooter when I can.

Some examples.

Aside from school, bagpiping takes up most of my time. Here is my band, the Maple Ridge Pipe Band, competing at the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland last year. We try to go every other year because thats pretty much all that finances will permit. Sadly it leaves very little time for airshows.

I love old cars, hanging with friends, beer pong(oh yeah), photography, and model aircraft.

I've heard Mr. Dennison perform live and he is one h*lluva talented artist! Since he's likely going to become a big-time mgmt mogul in his day job, the Buffalo Chips Double-Live Gonzo summer tour is probably out of the question...probably have to pare it down to a handful of engagements at Sprizzo's and House of Guiness, but I'll take what I can get. :partyman:

BTW the kerosene beast is back and it's happy hour at the O'Club tonight.

It's hard to believe there are any other hobbies out there, aviation, at least for me, tends to be a bit consuming. There's just so much to learn!

I get to try out this soon though:

Pretty excited about that.

I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. My mom has a great house at the coast that I like to sneak away to. I like to pretend I am an artist and dabble in photography as well. I love to read and probably spend too much time on my computer. I love classic cars. If I can sneak away once a week for a beer or two with friends and a game of darts, I am a happy girl.

I'd like to petition for more hours in the day though, not nearly enough time to enjoy these other interests!

It's amazing how things change when you have a little one. Since little Millie (Amelia - named after Amelia Earhart) has been with us, being a proud papa has been my favorite pastime. I'm enjoying every day with her, at least until she's old enough to be embarrassed by me! :)

Pre Millie, I would have to say
aviation (of course)
general military history
warships
amateur landscaping
outdoors
firearms collecting
Knights of Columbus

Once we win the lottery, we want to get into old cars...

Thanks Kirsten! It was a long wait, but it was worth it to make sure all the issues were taken care of to the highest standard. :)

Well, my most recent hobby is this:

Amongst the other hobbies is a world class collection of semi-automatic (I'm in California after all) assault rifles and crew served weapons. Most are no longer available to enthusiasts here due to political fiat.
