Trey - I don't think we are saying that "PE" will Not be there - just surprised it's not on the list yet.

I hope that it will be a later addition.

You're right! I just checked the website. That's fantastic. With the "PE" P-51C there, my favorite F-51D "Val Halla" from the West Coast and all those other Mustangs, I just may have to make the trip to Columbus this September.

:D

One thing that concerns me is that the Events Schedule on the website shows the formation flight of "51" Mustangs on Sunday, September 30 ONLY.

With a 4 Day Event like this, are they only going to put the formation of 51 up once on the last day??

If that's true, it may put an awful lot of pressure on that last day as far as crowds, etc. It seems to me that they should put the Formation up on at least 2 of the 4 days.

I'm planning on bringing Princess and Bald Eagle; Frenesi seems to be coming more apart than together these days. Anyway that's the plan.

Hear, hear. I kinda hope to see N51HR. Always liked the red/white checkerboard on that one. Another one I'd like to see is Clay Lacy's purple N64CL.

I'm not sure what's the correct list to look at as far as owner, plane, or s/n , because as you look thru owners and what a/c their bringing I counted 76 including 4 mustangs without names:
# 1 - Jack Croul
# 2 - Jim Cavanaugh
# 3 - Ed Lindsey
# 4 - Harry Barr's 2nd a/c (N201F)

Anyway, I guess it really doesn't matter because the most I've seen at one place is 18 at Tico in the mid to late 80's...

I heard from one of the guys I work with in Restoration that the guy that owns Lyle Shelton's old Rare Bear race plane is bringing up his P-38F "Glacier Girl" to the Gathering. A buddy of mine is planning on bringing his P-51D to the event also.

They both are really professional guys to know and it would be nice to see them there are well. I rode with Clay at the Mustang Round up in Santa Maria many years ago and Ted was kind enough to give me my 1st Mustang ride.......

Any chance that Princess will be coming to Geneseo to replace Frenesi? That would be very cool, I love the P-51B/Cs. And please stop by the WIX group hanging around the "tent" to say Hi, we don't bite

Hi Tim -- Snort has Excalibur for the Heritage Flight at Geneseo that weekend; I'm out for it. I might be able to get there Sunday if wx works out -- hopefully. I remember that grass in the rain and man does it get wet. Jim
