I find avionics to be as much black magic as science, sort of like the process of curing warts as in the Huck Finn book. Waco Mcgregor is a nice airport, friendly, good facilities, no tower hassle, with a good avionics shop. My problem is that the reciving volume was about a third of normal, descernable on the ground, but not with the engine running. Both radios are good, apparently fault is the intercom through which they are connected. Of course, the distributor is sold out of the intercom, factory will only ship to the distributor, etc.. I think I'll return next week. The balance and sidetone on the intercom were never set quite right ,years ago when installed since one can't reach the adjustment screws when it is fully in place. So when finally in this time should be better.
