Hi All,the work platform in the photo is actually a part of the maintenance kit for the Corsair.The -5 here in Darwin has a cast Magnesium mount in the upper air duct just outboard of the oil cooler duct on each wing,this mounts the rear of the platform shown,not sure about the forward mount,sorry but I don't have the books here at home or I would post the sketch.Regarding the work shown,since the lower air duct panel is still on,maybe the man involved is accessing the cooler drain plug.Best regards,Pete

I bet today's operators would have a use for this kit. I wonder if it could be rigged to fit in the heck hole for trips away from the home base. It looks like it would make filling the gas and oil tanks much easier...
