Archie gave me my check ride in one of the CAFs BT-13s and taught me how to do a Navy fighter approach. What a fine gentleman...

Archie was one of the Very first Men that I meet when I joined the Confederate Air Force I was then only 19 in 1981 26 years later that meeting is still fresh in my mind as he was talking to George Gay of the Famous Battle of Midway. I was blown away as I had only read about both before in History Books. Archie was a very humble man in saying that He was not a HERO but was just doing his job.
God Speed Archie You will be missed by all.

Archie Gone West

I was so saddened to learn of Archie Gone West. I grew up around him in Harlingen in the Confederate Air Force and will never forget what a wonderful man he was. Always a friendly smile, always time to chat, a great character and a good heart.
