Re-engining a Beaufighter presents problems. During the war one British Beaufighter serialled A19-2 was fitted with Wright Cyclones in Australia as a hedge against supply problems with the Hercules.

The result was engine nacelles that were dramatically increased in size, projecting well aft of the wing trailing edge. There a pics of this aircraft and I will post one when I find it.

You would likely have the same issues with Pratt engines.
