The book was part of a whole series. I also nearly wore out "Carrier War in the Pacific" and "D-Day, the Invasion of Europe." Not sure how many volumes there were..it'd be neat to find the whole series.

LOL I only recently tracked down the two you mentioned and Battle of the Bulge. I think those were the only WW2 based books in that series although there were many more.

I don’t think this could be classified as an “Advertisement” and it certainly has nothing to do with ball turrets. However, it was a supplement to the Headquarters Bulletin, courtesy of the MARINE CORPS GAZETTE in February 1944. It is an interesting WWII era document that I received from my grandparents.
