This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I just sent an email...

"I am a big fan of Dogfights. I just read that it was being cancelled or at least under consideration for non-renewal. PLEASE continue with this show. There possibilities for content for this show are prime right now. With 1000 WWII vets passing away this year, it is vital that their stories continue to be told while we ALL can benefit from hearing them straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

I have studied WWII aviation history since I was 6 years old (36 now) and I absolutely love this show.

PLEASE keep it around for many years to come!

Thanks"

Although my time is limited, for watching the show there were too many Dogfights in the Pacific, and not enough Europe Theatre and other shows. Seems like every week I tuned in, it was about Zeros, Wildcats and Hellcats. I still would love to see it continue. Wild West Tech simply ran out of topics (How much tech could there be from that era to fill more than three seasons?)

I have more than a passing interest in that I've interviewed and written about many veterans. There are so many interesting stories to be told that should be documented in such venues as the Military and History Channel. In a few years, the untold stories will remain so. Thankfully, my father left behind some audio tapes. I filmed and taped others but not to the degree in which I should have.

Mail Call wasn't exactly cancelled, but HC has been putting them off over and over. There's still lot of the last season still in the can. It HAD been cancelled but they changed their minds. Now it's just in limbo. I know this because I know the co-creator and the director of most of those shows, and I've been on the show myself!

I always thought Dogfights was a really neat show. I did watch a few episodes, but it just wasn't something I ever really got into, even though I AM into airplanes. Personal tastes, I guess. FYI, both Dogfights and Mail Call were both done by the same production company, Digital Ranch…
