I gotta say flying with Mark Henley at Thunder with 14 other B-25's will be hard to top...and flying in a flight of 8 B-17's, again at Thunder...will be the highlight of my career. I saw Lauderback do his solo mustang routine at Columbus...I gotta say I have never heard a Mustang scream more in the hard pulls...that is hard to top...too cool!!!

Good questions :D

The fellas running Thunder could teach a lot of organizers a thing or three about displays! The Mitchell gathering and flyby this year was great! Watching the three ship P-47 act beat up the field in the WWII re-enactment area last year was great! Seeing the -109 flying with the Hurricanes was great! Thunder just gets better and better every year!

Watching Vlado in Moonbeam along with the F-4 and F-15 Legacy flight at Dayton this year was something to behold as well :D

I'd like to know your thoughts on the following questions:

1. What are your favorite WARBIRD acts?
2. If you could fly in a WARBIRD act - what would it be?
3. What WARBIRD act would you like to see that either does or doesn't exist yet
4. What are the BEST WARBIRD acts from the crowd's perspective... and why?

Yes, I do have some ideas of my own, but I'll answer later in the thread.

Ryan

1) I'm split between the Dueling Sabres and the Horsemen. Both excellent flying in awesome planes.

2) A pair of MiG-25s doing aerobatics.

3) A pair of MiG-25s (at least none in the US).

4) Loud and slow jets. L-29, T-33, MiG-25, A-10, T-2, T-37, etc. Anything that makes a lot of noise but can stay inside the box will be loved by the crowd. So any attack jets and any first or second generation trainers will fit the bill nicely.

1] Lefty in White Lightnin`

3] Simulated dive bombing attack in a Ju-87...siren must be functional. This would be followed with an Me-163 launch. Any B-17`s attending the same show may orbit overhead.
