I looked for someplace that resembled a former airport. The area is very developed, so it must not have been an airport for many years now. I took my best guess as to the building you are referring to. Is this it? 41 45 49.28 N 87 55 20.57 W

Nope, you're a bit off.
It's at 41 44 58.67 N 87 56 7.69 W . You can see the H-34 sitting in front of the building.
