Thank you! These are great to look through.

Which Corsair (bu#) are we seeing in this pic?
(Is it 133693 "Blue Max" prior to a re-paint?)-
[/b]Edit- Looking thru more photos, I've answered my own question...it is indeed 133693. I see you have photos of it in this scheme, a bare metal scheme, and the later 93 Max scheme....very cool.

Steve,

Wow! That's an unbelievable collection of photos documenting your dad's equally unbelievable warbird legacy! I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with your dad in recent years at CJAA events and he was a most gracious and classy guy--took the time to give me quick cockpit tour of the Hunter just before he flew some impressive fly-bys in the Hunter at Dan Lavigna's memorial service--a moving tribute. Great to hear from you!

These are all fantastic!

Is this what I think it is?

I believe that this is actually an F-15 Reporter, the photo recon version of the Black Widow... which makes it even rarer. Very cool shot, and thanks so much for posting these.

All the best, Richard

Awesome pics!

I had a chance to fly in the Blue Max at Minn-St Paul CAF show in the 80's
around 1985 I think... Marshall Moss was piloting...

A ride I will never forget!!!!

Great series of seldom seen aircraft in old markings. One has me really puzzeled, see below, it appears to be N51C. However, no records of that # and have been thru about 2,000 photos and slides trying to match the markings with no luck. Surely, some of your experts can tell me the true idently of this aircraft including military number. Thanks in advance.

Gentlemen:

To the best of my knowledge, the identity of the photograph John Kerr is referring to in his posting is the P-51D N511D. I hope that this helps!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Steve,

Thanks for creating a home on the World Wide Web for all of your father's pictures. They are really great to take a look at. I look forward to finding the time to really check them all out.

Cheers,

David
