Real simple answer, there is a couple hours more on the Starboard engine than the Port engine, he is just getting the times equal on both engines

Well, actually the starboard engine took a powder on the last mission when the jock overboosted it and it is far easier to fly it back to another base and let THEM exchange it, than deal with the flak from your own chief!

He's just a show-off.....

did you guys notice that the AN-104 VHF antenna on the nose is pointing downwards on fighter types and upwards on recon ships, i.e. mounted on top of the nose-cone ?

Does anyone know where to find the insulators for antennas? I'd like to put the antenna back on my '6. I need (3) of the insulators with springs like in the 1st P-38 photo, the rudder swivel bracket, and (2) cone shaped insulators with LT on them, that fasten to the fuselage behind the rear bubble canopy. Thanks. Greg Vallero 636-926-7879

sure Mike - that was clear to me...... I just mentioned it as an identification aid for not-so-proficient-p38-photo-onlookers.... (especially in cases where the camera ports are obscured or for detail (close-up) shots

My bad, there was a question mark at the end of your sentence and thought you were asking why.

While I have you here do happen to have any Ohio Air Guard P-51 photo's in your collection?

Mike
