I would even gone as far as having him sign the side of her.

Be carefull. Maybe inside a panel or by his name on the canopy.
I had a friend with a Stearman who had vets he met sign the bagage door on his Stearman.
Some plain ol'folks saw that has a invitation to sign their names has well there  :?

As an American, I hate to say it, but as a pilot and an observer, both times I've seen the Snowbirds, at Midland back in '95 and last year at Wings Over Houston, I thought that they were the best team I'd seen. And yes, I've seen the Blues and the Tbirds - one team or the other almost every single year here in San Antonio for the airshows at Lackland or Randolph. I'd say the Tbirds are my second favorite.

I'd definitely paint the guys name on one side of the aircraft.

Wah???? Are you kidding me? Look how far apart they are! They are too high and too slow! They even had the audacity to fly directly over my house and disturb me when I was cutting the grass. Dem beastads!

Darn flyboys! When the heck are they going to learn their place? They can't just be flyin' anywhere they please like that. (three times over the Waukesha parade, thanks for the show!) Where is their military discipline, huh?

Awesome story Paul, I still have goosebumps on my arms !

Hey, perhaps you could contact Michael Potter at Vintage Wings of Canada in Gatineau ?

As you probably know, he has a few noteworthy Canadian birds flying heritage flights and just got a Sabre too. I'm sure something could be arranged with him.

Oooh what a sight that would be !!!! 8)

And yes, the pilot's name stensiled on the right side would be way cool !

And yes, the Snowbirds act is better than any other North-American act out there, no question about it ! Not just high powered passes, but true grace and artistry in the air...

Michel,

Great idea to contact VWoC to see if there may be interest in a T-33 flying in the Canadian Heritage Flights. I just emailed Tim Leslie. I don't have contact info for Michael Potter. I'll be adding my new Snowbird friend's name to the side of my airplane. I have an 8 x 12 of of my jet at Bagotville back in the day and sure enough, Capt Denis Beaumont's and two other pilots' names are stenciled on the left side of the fuselage...probably should add the other two as well! Mine doesn't need to be on there...can always put it back on later.

That is a great story Paul. Must have made you very proud to put the Canadian markings back on.

"Look ma', I'm famus!" :)

Great that at least someone was able to get a picture of the reunion.

Hope to see your T-33 in July at Oshkosh!

That's Capt Beaumont sitting on the wing. I'm getting ready to order the stencil with his name on it from the graphics guy. Here's a closeup of the stencil as it appeared on my aircraft at CFB Bagotville back in the day:

See you at Oshkosh!![/img]
