Okay, Back home.
The Cessna ASI is
PART NO. S-1323 with N-4stamped into the tag
CONF. 22-692-01 with what looks like '3A' stamped into the tag
WEIGHT .7 LBS.
SERIAL NO. 3392
SUPPLIED BY
GARWIN INC. WITCHITA, KANSAS.
it has several stamps relating to 'funtional test'
Green scale from 56 mph to 120 mph., yellow to 160mph and a red bar at about 162 mph.
Any of you instrument guys have any idea about when this was made or what models it may have been installed in? Any network contacts?

Oh yeah! With the info from this thread and links I looked at, I wound it until it got pretty firm resistance but didnt' ham fist it till it stopped. It ran for a few minutes , stopped, was nudged and restarted. After a full wind and a couple of hand resets, its' been running for a couple of hours. The exterior cleaned up fairly well, tool

Well, I ordered a manual for the Elgin 37500 from the eBay link. It was from an antique clock dealer in Melbourne, Fl. who had five. He also has a number of similar publications for other a/c clocks.
After it arrives, I'll se about resetting the civil date and learn about some of the other functions. I also plan to have alocal machine shop make a small panel to mount it in.
