Thank you for keeping us in the look. I'm glad that the pilot is ok, but heartbroken to see a Sea Fury bent up like that.

Wow, sorry to hear about that, but glad the pilot was not injured! Thanks Doug for keeping us all in the loop about that, so the speculation train doesn't run full bore ahead!

Unfortunately, it might be cheaper to buy another Sea Fury outright than to rebuild that. Sea Furies are pretty cheap now as warbirds -comparatively speaking!

That'll buff right out...

But seriously, let me add my thanks for the proactive heads up... you have the best wishes of the entire WIX community, along with our relief that the pilot got out OK. Sure, it'll take a while to get her back in the air, but it's just sheet metal (says he, running for the bunker from infuriated Sea Fury enthusiasts)

Cheers,

Lynn

I've been asked about the plans for the Sea Fury. Don't know yet. I wouldn't dream of scapping it. We can buy another Sea Fury, but having a dual control one is great. I loved the newspaper story "Crashed Plane identified, it's race plane 103". Great story, don't you think??

I had a reporter call and want the scoop. I said " The plane had a problem. the pilot safely landed in rough terrain which produced a lot of damage. The pilot's at Outback having a steak and baked potato with sour cream and butter. Any other questions?" She said "no" in a dissappointed tone.

ROFL....

Glad to hear the pilot is safe and sound.
