B-eagle and Gary..Forgotten Field explained above about the "Tadpole Clipper", it's a concept prototype of the Martin Mariner in 3/8 scale.

Always wish they had kept one of the Airacuda's...look like 1930's "futuristic" (as in out of the comic books) aircraft.

Although "photochopped" atleast the aircraft and the Canopy are both products of North American Aviation.

Love the Wildcat on floats. And the flying shot of the Ascender.

Not sure what is so special about the PTO P-47 in color, but man that is a great photo! 8)

The Tadpole Clipper looks fun. Anyone got more info on it?
The B-15 looks like a 17 about the blow up in a microwave.
It was probably a link on WIX but not too far back I read some net material on the Aracuda. It was slower than the bomber it was supposed to intercept. The gunners in the wing cabins had ventilation problems expecially after firing their guns and there was no way for the gunners to bail out unless the engines were dead and stopped. Still in interesting design just for its own bizarre sake.
Four engine Mossie anyone?

p.s. I've asked Scott to delete the similar thread I started on this topic since it's covered in more depth here. No need to clutter the board.
